Cree and I found a little stand in Ann Arbor that sells fresh watermelon juice and hibiscus juice.  We've been craving more ever since we found them, but it was about $3 a cup which is a bit our of our budget. If anyone knows any recipes or even how to make something like that, let us know. It was SO good. I would be forever indebted to you.

  3. Hi Amanda, I am a friend of Cree's from BYU and found your blog through Kenzie. Anyways, so I've been reading your blog (creepy? hope not!) and I just wanted to say that the best juice I've ever had was Prickly Pear Cactus juice. So delicious. And if you can find some of that, you'll be so happy. Promise!

  4. now I want some of that .... where is this stand? I love to experiment in the kitchen and have done watermelon juice but not the hibiscus....past the season now but I'll tell you our favorite homemade fall drink. Warmed milk (we pick it up raw from the farmer) little bit of honey and vanilla. It puts the kids to sleep.

  5. You know Amanda, Jeff Ward and I are married now.

Also, Tazo makes a great hibiscus tea that I frequently drink chilled. It is really good and could be a decent substitute for the undoubtedly delicious juice of the same name.
