This weekend, work gave us all the day off AND a big beach day. It was marvelous. We all piled into vans at 6:30 in the morning and then drove an hour to the pier. From there we hitched a ride on a local boat and made our way to the beach.

Peter forgot his swimsuit, so he tried to find one from a street vendor. No luck.

He had just recived a funny text. Cree caught this shot and it makes me giggle.

A good profile shot to show off the awful haircut. Never again.

The fish sanctuary. Amazing.

These fish look nice, but below is what happens when you give them pork.

I did swim with this fellow though. He was very friendly.

I thought the sand was beautiful.

Lunch on a banana tree leaf.

Nap time.

It was a really fantastic day. Boating, snorkeling, sunbathing, napping, eating good food on a banana leaf...couldn't get any better. The beach was on an island, so we were the only people there. One of the best days we've had here. I loved every minute of it. We even had time to read Anna Karenina. We are zipping through it. I wish we could go back.
